Injuries Happen

Maybe you were in a car crash or suffered a sports injury. Possibly you’re hurting as the result of a slip or a fall. Maybe your problem is in your back or neck. After all, those are the areas people most often associate with chiropractic treatment.

If your hip, shoulder, or knee is causing you problems, chiropractic care can also help for those conditions. If your injury damaged the alignment of your spinal column or any other part, let us know!

The Chiropractic Process for Treating Injury

If you’re in pain, your first priority may be to make the pain go away. We agree, and that’s why our first phase is relief care. We’ll schedule treatment sessions as often as two or three times a week until the pain subsides. Once the pain is gone, you may feel you’re done, but there’s still work left. Pain is only one indicator that something’s wrong, and it’s often the first sign to disappear as well. If you stop treatment without fully correcting the underlying issue, it’s likely the pain will return later down the road.

The next phase of corrective care. You most likely will be given exercises or some stretches to add to your routine. Once your body is fully healed, we recommend wellness care. This involves less frequent but regular visits with your chiropractor plus a program of exercise and a healthy diet. This will help you to avoid future injuries and to limit their impact if they do occur.
